Deut. 1 v. 6-8; 2 v. 1-3:

It is important to understand that you are on a journey of progress and growth – a Journey You Are Taking With God. It Is God Your Father Who Desired, Purposed and Promised To Take You Into The Promised Land of blessing and achievement in your life and in His work. You are not alone. He is with you to help you. Your progress and growth is guaranteed by this one truth: YOU ARE ON A JOURNEY WITH GOD.

Deut. 1 v. 1, 9-11; 2 v. 1; 5 v. 1-3:

“Our journey…..” – Not only is this your own personal journey with God your Father – it is also our journey together. The Lord’s design is that you take this journey of life, blessing and achievement together with God’s people, the church, and with the leadership the Lord has brought you under, just as Moses led Israel on their journey. This Sunday is an important day to meditate on the design God made to bring you, in the spirit of sonship, under the leadership of Apostle Andrew Wutawunashe, and under the Local Church leadership of our Pastors And Elders as we fight for progress and growth in our lives and in the church.

Deut. 1 v. 5-18; 2 v. 1-4:

Divine order is that you go forward willingly submitting yourself to the Godly leadership God has appointed for you. Moses is ordered by God to ‘command the people’ according to how God has directed him. Consider Hebrews 13 v. 17.

Deut. 3 v. 1-4:

God has brought us together on this journey with Him to fight together and take the land through the gospel. Take your place as a part of God’s team in fighting to take the land for Christ – come to church, pray and worship with others, serve , work and give in God’s House.

Deut. 5 v. 1-3:

On this journey, we are together in covenant with God to live according to His laws (Word), and to pursue the same faith in Christ together. Think on Deuteronomy 4 v. 5-6.

Daily Deuteronomy 2

Suggested Reading:

Deuteronomy 1 v. 1-8; 3 v. 1-12; 9 v. 1-3; Exodus 13 v. 17.

Deuteronomy 1 v. 6-8; 9 v. 1-3:

During this Year of Progress with growth, the Lord is taking you on a journey with Him during which He promises you the land (blessing and achievement for Him and for yourself in every form). He commands you to go forward and pray for, work and fight for the possession of blessing and achievement far bigger than you have envisioned in the past. This is the key to progress and growth, both in your life and in God’s work.

Deuteronomy 9 v. 1, 2; 3 v. 1-6:

Possessing God’s blessing, achieving and making progress with growth requires war you need to do battle in the realities of this competitive world (e.g. in business) and also to fight spiritually and deliberately confront challenges bigger than yourself, in order to attain progress with growth. God wants you to adopt this attitude, trusting Him to help you overcome in all your battles. ARE YOU FIGHTING THE WARS OF PROGRESS IN YOUR LIFE AND TERRITORY AS WELL AS IN GOD’S WORK?

Exodus 13 v. 17; Deuteronomy 1-3:

Understand this important truth today: The shortest way to your promised land is the way of war. The reason why it took the children of Israel forty years to cover an eleven days’ journey to the edge of the Promised Land is that God saw that they were fearful and not ready for war, so they had to take a longer route of avoiding wars. It is important that today you understand that the true life of faith and progress is a life of wars. This is why God exhorts us, “Fight the good fight of faith”. 1 Timothy 6 v. 12.

Deuteronomy 1 v. 20-21; 9 v. 1-3:

Today commit yourself in prayer, and by making determined specific decisions, to begin to do battles for progress with growth in your life and in God’s work. Go forward, trusting that according to His promise, God your Father goes before you and helps you overcome every challenge and enemy.

Daily Deuteronomy 1

Suggested reading: Deuteronomy 1 v. 1-8

The Word ‘Deuteronomy’

The word “Deuteronomy” is the Greek word “Deuteronomion”, a combination of two words: “deuteros” (second) and “nomos” (law), i.e. SECOND LAW – capturing the original Hebrew meaning that these were Words of the law, promise and commandments of God which Moses, God’s Servant and leader of the church in the wilderness (Acts 7 v. 38), was giving FOR THE SECOND TIME and TO A NEW GENERATION which had survived falling in the wilderness and was set on, and now being prepared by this SECOND LAW, to enter into and to possess the Promised Land.

2019 The Year of Progress with Growth

Deuteronomy is especially being brought by the Lord to us, THE NEW VESSELS, who survived the 2016 falling away from the African Revival, to prepare and equip you to go forward and possess the promised land of blessing, service and achievement for your life and for the Lord. Give thanks to God that He chose you for the deuteros nomos – the season of fresh instruction for a new generation which will enter into and possess the promised land – being blessed and fulfilling the Vision the Lord gave us through Rev. Andrew Wutawunashe.

Verses 5-8:

Your progress or Promised Land is on THAT SIDE, not THIS SIDE where you stand. This simply means the Lord wants you TO CROSS OVER in every area of your life – from weakness (this side) to strength (that side); from poverty (this side) to wealth (that side) etc. Define areas of your life in which you need to cross over, then claim the promise and resolve to take actions to cross over.

Verses 1, 5-6:

The tool or weapon that God gives you to use to cross over into your promised land is WORDS, i.e. His Word, Promises and Commands. When Moses faced the challenge of taking the new generation into the Promised Land, all he used was speaking the Words, promises and commandments of the Lord to them. Today, dedicate yourself to depend on, use, apply and put your trust in God’s Word as you progress forward into your promised land (Acts 20 v. 32).
