Deuteronomy 1 v. 6-8; 2 v. 1-3;

“You have compassed this mountain long enough” – The Lord is concerned about stagnancy in your life. Stagnancy is being caught up in focusing on and repeating the same thing, even if it is a good thing, and dwelling passively in the same status quo; while other challenges await you as commanded or as promised you by the Lord. He wants you to keep moving forward and continue making progress on this journey of faith. Is there movement and progress in your life and in your experience and service of God or are
you stagnant, compassing the same mountain all the time? Pray about things which are at a standstill in your life or in the church.

Deuteronomy 1 v.7,8; 2 v. 24, 25; 3 v. 1-3:

The reason God rebukes stagnancy in your life is that He has made you promises that require you to continually move forward and take new ground, whether spiritual or material, in achieving or in your service of God. It is time to repent from a life of ignored promises. Satan wants you to be apathetic and satisfied with the way things are but God wants you to be fired up – constantly praying for and moving forward into things He commanded or promised which you have not yet possessed or realized.

Deuteronomy 3 v. 3-12:

God wants your life to be an exciting, challenging life of action; making progress in fighting to possess and to achieve the things He promised you or sends you to do for Him. When you get into this manner of life, you will constantly have new testimonies of the working of God.

Think On Philippians 3 v. 12-15:

No matter how long you have walked with God, there are always higher things He is calling you to through His promises and commands. Today repent from stagnancy and adopt this mind that you will go forward and take your journey into new challenges and blessings according to God’s Word.

Daily Deuteronomy 6

Suggested Reading: Deuteronomy 1 v. 19-40; Hebrews 4 v. 1, 8-16

Deut 1 v. 34-39; Hebrews 4 v. 7, 11:

Whatever God has promised you in His Word, it is His desire that by cooperating with Him, you may enter into it and possess it. He urges you to make the choice to enter into all He promised you.

Deut 1 v. 27-32; Hebrews 4 v. 3, 6:

These three things will hinder you from entering into and possessing all the good blessings and achievements God promises you:
a. Unbelief
b. Fear
c. Murmuring (dissatisfied grumbling and complaining).
However well and convincingly these three spirits try to justify themselves to you, identify, fight, reject, repent from and kick them out of your life. Cooperate with God and enter and possess your Promised Land.

Deut 1 v. 29-31; 33; Hebrews 4 v. 11-16:

The Lord gives grace and help to enter into and to possess their
promised land to those who labour:

a. To believe His Word of promise.
b. To be willing to take, without grumbling or dissatisfied
complaining, any action of faith necessary to enter into and
possess the promise.
c. To be bold, believing and fearless, confident in His ability and help to take them through.

Today make a decision to make
these three things part of your life: faith, willingness
(obedience) and boldness.
This is the path to progress.

Daily Deuteronomy 5

Suggested Reading: Deuteronomy 1 v. 9-18; 10 v. 20-22

Deut 1 v. 9-11:

The Lord is able to multiply or give you increase in all things. He is able to multiply people in His house.

Deut 10 v. 20-22:

By His mighty working, the Lord increased Israel while in the land of Egypt from seventy people to millions. Take time to worship the Lord who by His mighty world gives us multiplication in all things.

Deut. 1 v. 11:

Take note of, believe, receive this blessing and begin to say it to God’s people with faith in your heart.

Think on Psalm 115 v. 1-4.

It is the Lord who gives increase. Pray for increase in all things, for progress that comes with growth. Be specific also about your own needs.

Daily Deuteronomy 4

Suggested Reading: Deuteronomy 1 v. 1-18, 2 v. 24-36

Deut 1 v.3-8:

It is Monday today, and the reason many of us do not like Monday is that it is a day that brings again to us REALITIES – often boring or demanding hard work – realities to be done. As you go forward with the Lord into progress with growth, the spirit of simplicity requires that, in order to possess your miracles, blessings and to build God’s house – you must not just pray, but also take real practical actions and interact with all sorts of real people with diverse personalities. Consider some practical actions and interactions with people, some quite hostile, which Moses and God’s people had to take in order to actually get what God had promised:

1 v. 3: They had to meet, consult and hear practical things God said should be done.

1 v. 7-8: They had to map out or define territory to take – a footprint of real places.

1 v. 12-18: They had to organize themselves and to strategize.

1 v. 4; 2 v. 31-36: They had to fight real wars, slay kings and capture territory.

2 v. 26-30: They had to interact, communicate, negotiate with, and if need be, fight difficult and hostile people.

2 v. 31-35: They put on record their profits ad assets, i.e. things and territories they had gained.

As you look at these points, judge your own life and ways and define the things you need to do to deal in realities and make progress. Pray over these issues and make decisions.

Consider 1 Thessalonians 4 v. 11-12; 1 Timothy 5 v. 8:

God calls you to engage and do practical things that bring progress and growth – be it engaging sinners with the Gospel, or doing practical and even manual work so that you may become a blessing to your family, others and to God’s work.

Train yourself to initiate, to value, look forward to or even enjoy practical things and engaging people in order that you may harvest the progress and growth that God Promised.
